COMPARE COSTS

Lets assume you have a good mountain bike and the basic riding gear, what else do you need for our trip compared to say a 3 day, unsupported bike-packing trip.

Bikepacking Trip

Trip Cost = $0

Frame Bag = $150

Fork H2O Mounts = $110

Fork 64oz H2O Bottles = $85

Seatpost Bag = $140

Getting all the gear needed for a simple 3-day bike-packing trip didn’t end up being so simple for me, I am planning one now for April 2023 and was surprised at how much I spent getting the basics. The list above totals to $1,880 and remember that doesn’t include my food and I am sleeping on the ground each night.
